If vertigo isn’t a problem… a visit to the Willis Towers previously known as the Sears Towers is a must. Suspended at a dizzying 412 metres above the ground are the 4 glass ledges, more like 3 x 3 giant glass boxes that project out of the building. This reinforced glass cube affords the viewer an unparalleled view of Chicago.
After the movie Ferris Beuller’s day off – many tried to recreate the “Skydeck Scene” so the staff were constantly having to clean the windows. These ingenious boxes are now fully retractable for ease of cleaning and maintenance.
